Trails and Lessons of Life...

Now brace yourself as I get a bit serious here.
I believe in life we go through trials and tribulations. We learn lessons and skills that we grow and earn knowledge from. People ask what the meaning of life is. I don't think there is one set answer. I believe we all have a different reason. We will not fully know this answer until the day we die. I have learned a few lessons so far. Some very hard for a person of such a young age. But, you learn from it, learn how to cope with it and add it to the list of lessons.
The recent lesson I have learned is to be rely on yourself, be happy with yourself, and live life.
I recently watched a play by Tyler Perry and he said something that really made me think. It was something along the lines of If you are not happy with yourself then what are you going to do with anybody else?
I have thought about it a while ago, which is the reason as to why I am not dating anyone. I am not happy with myself. In certain ways I am, in certain ways I am not. I am doing things to make myself better. Those things I will get to in a moment. It is hard for me to be around co-dependant people. It annoys me to no end. Especially if they are people who have the lowest self esteem and think being happy is having someone love you. Being happy with yourself is true happiness.
Not all people feel the same way about love. I personally, think if you find love that's great. I am happy for you but, I really don't want to sit here and listen to how wonderful so and so is. Just because I am happy that someone has found love doesn't mean I really want to sit here and hear someone gush over it. It's the way I have always been. It's the way I am now. If I ask then that's a different story but, even then. Keep it to a non annoyance minium. Conversations shouldn't be all about the"love" of your life. Those get old fast. .I've been there done it, am over it, and just not into it. I KNOW I was like that once. I was going through a VERY retarded moment in my life. That was it. I know better now. A LOT better. Like I said, trails and tribulations.
We are only happy for as long as things make us happy. If you are happy with yourself then you will be happy for a lifetime.
As I have touched on before, I am trying to get myself back to being happy with myself. This includes taking care of myself. Both phyically and mentally. Yes, I know mentally will take a long while lol. I am having a few tests ran on me at the moment. Yet again. I have something that is not quite right. I have to go back in a month to get a few more tests done. Right now they are sticking me on a few meds to see if they work for me. Something funny did happen at the doctors. We were talking about the effects of my problems causing me depression. She asked me if I was suicidal. I had to laugh. It made me think of a lot of twits on VR with this death b.s. All I could say was. I am far from it, I would rather make other people's life miserable and enjoy that then killing myself. Which is true. I get enjoyment out of that. I am a twisted being.
Life is a journey which includes different paths to happiness. The main path should be the happiness within yourself. It can open up a world of possibilties.
